Pietro de Scisciolo (Terlizzi - Ba, 1967). Sculptor, lives and works in Bari. Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia. He got prizes and awards. Many of his works are present in public, private and religious collections. Since 2012 he has been present in the international sculpture symposia. In 2018 he is in Apulia Land Art Festival and in 2020 at Macboat in Bisceglie. In 2024 he participated in the second floor Art Residency of ZNSPROJECT. His research investigates the assonances between linguistic observation and form, as conventional symbols, translating them into a new sense and meaning in a conceptual balance that travels between the poetic and the ironic, between provocative and reassuring, with a hyperreal yield that does not forget the taste for form and representation. His sensitive ability to interaction with the environment in the various contexts, from natural to historical and social ones, allows his installations to become a pretext for reflections, reasoning and rediscovery.
